Next weekend at the UMAE Trade Show in Manchester I am part of a panel discussion with a interesting collation of highly respected makeup artists from all areas of the Makeup Industry. The discussion is based on a topic that is very close to my heart and is called "The Changing Face of Make-up Artistry". The idea for this was initiated by Amanda Gaffey who brought the panel together with Millie Kendal from the British Beauty Council. Workshops at the new JT Makeup Studio

We opened our doors after two months of moving into Millside House at the end of February and kicked off with a special Masterclass with the legendary Mandy Gold who has worked as a Makeup Artist on a variety of feature films including Phantom of the Opera, Dagenham Girls, Star Wars, Mary Poppins Returns, Aladdin, Hugo, Inkheart, Mrs Henderson Presents, An Education and Alice in Wonderland. Following this there have been several courses run by Carolyn Cousins due to popular demand, focusing on 1950's and 1940's Hair Styling for film. In March we held our first Afro Hair and Makeup Course with Kamanza which was an exciting 5 day course and this course was supported by a Screen Skills Bursary
